SUMMER STARTS IN 70.
What are you doing about it? Here are some things to review in light of our summer countdown, since we suddenly all have some time on our hands…
Nutrition- start making a note of what you eat everyday for one week. At the end of the week, review it. Are you out of balance in an area? If so can you adjust? Hint, we generally need to add more lean proteins to our diet. Need support? Email natasha@transcendfit.com… she’s a wizard at this topic.
Exercise- obvious, I know. How much are you working out? Can you add 10-20 minutes of cardio SOMETHING into your workout days? Can you add a workout day? Can you increase your resistance in your weight training?
Alcohol consumption- ho-hum. Can we take this down a notch? Can we? Just a little? I’ll let that one lay right there.
S T R E S S- Pandemics don’t normally equate to peace and euphoric feelings, so it’s likely that daily, our anxiety levels will peak a little bit. This is impacting all of us somehow, someway. And there is no minimizing the fact that this simply put, stinks. That said, what can you do for yourself as a 20-30 minute mind rest (more time is great if you have it but this is a decent start), to switch off the discomfort of the current season and rest your mind and body. This is important. If we don’t allow for ourselves to detox from stress, unwanted cortisol will continue to rise in our bods and excess cortisol = weight gain, among other impacts. Whomp whomp. .
Reminder, you do you. Translation: this isn’t about being a certain size or shape, this is about you being comfortable in your skin; strong, healthy and resilient and confident in your summer uniform, whatever that may be.
